Maui Recovery Support
As a clean energy community, we are devastated by the Maui wildfires that are causing catastrophic damage. To help Maui recover and rebuild, we hope you will join the RE+ community in supporting some of the following local organizations:

Maui Food Bank
With the recent wildfires on Maui, there is an urgent, growing need for food assistance in our communities. With every $1 donated, the Maui Food Bank can provide 4 meals to the hungry living in our island community. Give now and together we can make a difference.

Maui United Way
Maui United Way is responding to immediate needs via daily grant approvals to existing grassroots organizations that are local and focused on basic needs. All of our work is guided by a deep desire to increase equity and decrease long-standing disparities for communities, including the AAPI populations, especially Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations. And 100% of the donations to Maui United Way stay in Hawaii.

Hawai'i Community Foundation
Hawaii Community Foundation has established the Maui Strong Fund to support Maui communities affected by recent fires, including response and recovery efforts. The Maui Strong Fund is providing financial resources that can be deployed quickly, with a focus on rapid response and recovery for the devastating wildfires on Maui. HCF is working in close collaboration with state and county leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community members to get an understanding of the quickly evolving priorities. Funding will support evolving needs, including shelter, food, financial assistance, and other services as identified by our partners doing critical work on Maui.

Footprint Project
In response to the devastating Maui wildfires, Footprint Project is working with on-the-ground relief teams, local government, local solar installers, and microgrid industry leaders to power up community relief hubs across the affected area. Solar microgrids are being deployed for community charging hubs, lighting, wifi communications, shelters, refrigeration, lighting, and other critical energy needs for those affected by the fire. Donations will be used to cover equipment procurement, installation, maintenance, and logistics costs. Footprint Project’s mission is to help build back greener after climate disasters by mobilizing cleaner energy for communities in crisis. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit disaster service organization that develops and deploys solar generator networks to empower community resilience. We work across the disaster management cycle to expand frontline access to cleaner technologies and reduce fossil fuel use in the field. Since 2018, we’ve mobilized solar microgrids to 20+ disaster response and recovery missions, providing emergency power access to 25,000+ people.
